As Presbyterians (which comes from the Greek word for “elder”), the Pastor and the Elders are together responsible for the spiritual oversight of the church (leading our congregation in worship, teaching, preaching, prayer, and in many other things), while our Deacons are responsible for leading the congregation in mercy ministry and stewardship.
